The Sherman Lady Cats snapped a three-match skid Friday with a 25-22, 25-22, 25-11 victory over Denton High in District 5-5A action at Bearcat Gymnasium.


Sarah Graham had seven kills, four digs and three blocks as Sherman (25-8, 2-4) wrapped up the first half of the district schedule.


Madi Gladen and Kylie Jackman each had six kills for Sherman while Rylie Bernard added five kills, two blocks and 10 digs. Dallas Aleman recorded 26 assists and led the Lady Cats with 14 digs and Cameron Wecker collected 10 digs. Gladen added eight digs and Jackman had five.


District 9-3A


Gunter def. Whitesboro 3-1


GUNTER — Camryn MacDonald had 16 kills, 12 digs, seven aces and three blocks as Gunter claimed sole possession of second place with a 25-16, 25-22, 24-26, 25-14 victory against Whitesboro in district action on Friday.


Beth Gilbreath put down 11 kills, Sarah Franze added 10 digs and four kills, Nyah Ingram chipped in 20 digs and six aces, Alyssa Jarrell collected 12 digs and Jacee Childers handed out 35 assists to go with nine digs and four aces for Gunter (22-8, 5-1).


Karlee Schuessler had nine kills, 12 assists and 13 digs, Phoenix West finished with nine kills and 19 digs, Qyra Ressler totaled eight kills, eight digs and five assists, Sierra Parks put down six kills and Maggie McCorkle handed out 10 assists for fourth-place Whitesboro (16-13, 4-3).


Pottsboro def. S&S 3-0


POTTSBORO — Grace Johnson had nine kills and nine digs for S&S but Pottsboro beat the Lady Rams, 25-18, 25-22, 25-18, in 9-3A action on Friday.


Payton White also put down nine kills, Leighann Wolfe totaled 17 digs and eight assists, Halie Hicks added seven assists and five digs, Chelsea McDonald chipped in three kills and Kaylee Baker collected 15 digs for S&S (10-17, 0-6), which starts the second half of district by hosting Whitesboro on Tuesday.


District 10-3A


Leonard def. Lone Oak 3-1


LEONARD — Alyssa Davis had 18 kills, 15 digs, six aces and two blocks as Leonard defeated Lone Oak, 21-25, 25-8, 25-17, 25-13, in district action on Friday.


Madelyn Butler added 17 kills and five digs, Linda Feagan handed out 37 assists to go with nine digs and Taylor Stricklin collected 11 digs for third-place Leonard (22-9, 4-2).


District 10-2A


Tioga def. Forestburg 3-0


TIOGA — Andrea Perez had 12 kills, two aces and two blocks as Tioga swept Forestburg, 25-15, 25-10, 25-12, in district action on Friday.


Nicole Hill added 10 kills and three aces, Carly Hough put down eight kills, Brittany Barnett handed out 32 assists and Emily Adlof chipped in five kills for second-place Tioga (22-9, 6-1).


District 11-2A


Bells def. Dodd City 3-2


DODD CITY — Dezeray Poe put down 19 kills as Bells outlasted Dodd City, 25-22, 25-13, 12-25, 23-25, 15-7, in district action on Friday.


Bella Smith added 15 kills, eight digs and five blocks, Charli Waggoner chipped in eight kills and eight digs, Cheyenne Floyd finished with 16 assists, four kills and three aces, Hali Williams handed out 25 assists and Kennedy Derzapf collected nine digs for Bells (13-17, 6-1).


Journie Hilliard had 10 kills and nine blocks, Sarah Brent added 10 kills and six digs Abby Weeks handed out 20 assists to go with five digs, Delaney Pilliod totaled four digs and three aces and Cassandra Woodlee and Dani Baccus each collected three digs for Dodd City (19-6, 6-1).


Blue Ridge def. Roxton 3-0


ROXTON — Shelby Gerner had 21 kills as Blue Ridge swept Roxton, 25-4, 25-20, 25-8, in district action on Friday.


Skylar Gerner added nine kills, three blocks and two assists, Ellery Martin put down five kills, Kelsie Kennon totaled four kills and eight digs, Marlaina Morgan handed out 18 assists, Dakota Deckard finished with 12 assists and Taylor Langwell collected 18 digs for Blue Ridge (13-12, 6-1), which moved into a first-place tie with Dodd City and Bells.


Trenton def. Tom Bean 3-1


TOM BEAN — Gracie Holden had 14 kills and eight digs as Trenton defeated Tom Bean, 25-18, 15-25, 32-30, 25-23, in district action on Friday.


Maddison Lavoie finished with nine kills and eight digs, Bethany Nors handed out 21 assists to go with seven digs and Dalila Hernandez collected 15 digs for Trenton (13-19, 4-3).


Baylee Stautzenberger had 15 kills and three aces, Cheyanne Worley and Lauren Gerths each chipped in four kills and four digs, Jillian Beck handed out 16 assists and Jewel Mason collected 16 digs for Tom Bean.
