TRENTON — Blakeston Jones ran for 156 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries as Tom Bean opened District 6-2A (I) action with a 51-18 victory against Trenton on Friday night.


Bryce Grier ran for two touchdowns, Michael Cooper and Caleb Higgs each added a score on the ground and Dylan Avila kicked a field goal for Tom Bean (1-4, 1-0), which led 37-6 at half-time.


Christian Verde threw touchdown passes to Hagen Moore and Hunter Sadler and ran for a score and Tyler Gray ran for 97 yards on 15 carries for Trenton (0-5, 0-1).


Valley View 32, Bells 14


BELLS — Bryan Ponder was 43-of-57 for 363 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions during Bells’ district-opening loss against Valley View on Friday.


Tyler Hawthorne had 11 catches for 78 yards and a touchdown, Eli Strickland added five catches for 37 yards and a TD and also ran 12 times for 62 yards, Hunter Hawthorne finished with 15 catches for 87 yards and Newman Montgomery totaled 93 yards on six catches for Bells (4-1, 0-1).


Valley View (4-1, 1-0) scored 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Chisum 14, S&S 13


CHISUM — A missed extra point turned out to be the difference as S&S opened district play with a loss against Paris Chisum on Friday.


Langston Graham caught a two-yard touchdown pass from Chazz Maxey, who gained 66 yards on 22 carries and returned a fumble 80 yards for a score.


Ruri Aguilar led S&S (3-2, 0-1) with 11 tackles as the Rams held Chisum (2-3, 1-0) to 177 yards.


Non-district


Anna 41, Community 21


NEVADA — Keelan Crosby ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and was 6-of-8 passing for 97 yards and a score as Anna defeated Community in non-district action on Friday.


Abner Dubar added 10 carries for 79 yards and a TD, Aaron Lee finished with 10 carries for 78 yards and a score and also caught the touchdown pass and Junior Rodriguez scored on the ground for Anna (4-1).


Colby Warren ran for touchdown and added a TD pass for Community (2-3).


Celina 51, Dallas Pinkston 0


DALLAS — Ryan Nebeker and Major Martin each scored twice as Celina shut out Pinkston in non-district action on Friday.


Nebeker ran for 84 yards and two TDs on just three carries, Martin also scored on the ground and caught a TD pass from Noah Ross, Zach Bunker and Jeremy Payne added touchdown catches and Taison Holman ran for a score for Celina (3-2).


Pinkston (0-5) finished with just 21 yards, including seven on 23 carries.


Bonham 27, Lone Oak 20


BONHAM — Tyler Rodriguez ran for four touchdowns as Bonham defeated Lone Oak in non-district action on Friday night.


Lone Oak (3-2) took a 14-13 lead early in the third quarter before Rodriguez put Bonham (2-3) back in front. When the Buffaloes tied the score at 20 in the fourth, the Warriors produced the game-winning points and then Blake Boswer’s interception ended Lone Oak’s last chance.


Wolfe City 28, Como-Pickton 26


WOLFE CITY — Jed Cagle ran 14 times for 155 yards and a touchdown and also threw a TD pass as Wolfe City edged Como-Pickton in non-district action on Friday.


Travis Williams added 123 yards and a touchdown on just four carries, Cody Greenway chipped in six carries for 49 yards and a score and Micah Alexander had the TD grab for Wolfe City (5-0), which ran for 403 yards on 37 carries.


Honey Grove 38, Cumby 28


CUMBY — Devin Fulbright had five catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns as Honey Grove beat Cumby in non-district action on Friday.


Trel Pruitt ran 19 times for 182 yards and two touchdowns, Ben Patrick was 6-of-7 passing for 146 yards with the two TD passes and also ran for a score and Trey Corbett returned a blocked punt for touchdown for Honey Grove (3-2).


Texoma Christian 14, Garland Christian 12


GARLAND — Jack Turner threw a pair of touchdown passes as Texoma Christian held off Garland Christian in non-district action on Friday.


Caleb Farrington had one for 35 yards on the first quarter and Tex Monk had a 64-yarder in the third quarter to account for the scoring by Texoma Christian (4-0), which stopped a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter to avoid overtime.


Aubrey 21, Pottsboro 14


POTTSBORO — Ross Hendrix had seven catches for 182 yards and a touchdown but Pottsboro came up short in a non-district loss against Aubrey on Friday.


Hunter Watson threw for 265 yards and the touchdown and added 120 yards and a score on 18 carries for Pottsboro (3-2), which held a 14-7 lead with 9:51 left in the third.


Will Dow had 11 carries for 82 yards and three touchdowns for Aubrey (4-1).


Brock 27, Pilot Point 8


PILOT POINT — Jacob Pitts ran for 77 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries during Pilot Point’s non-district loss against Brock on Friday night.


Quincy Kemp ran 16 times for 55 yards and Javin Bruce added a two-point conversion for the Bearcats (1-4), who are off this week before opening district play against Callisburg.


Tanner Patino ran for three touchdowns for Brock (4-1).


Fort Worth Christian 55, Whitesboro 10


FORT WORTH — Lucas Lloyd recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown during Whitesboro’s non-district loss against Fort Worth Christian on Friday.


Rustin Reedy kicked a 32-yard field goal for Whitesboro (2-3).


Tyler Knoop was 20-of-33 passing for 316 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for two scores for Fort Worth Christian (3-1).


Muenster 54, Callisburg 3


MUENSTER — Julian Diaz kicked a 40-yard field goal late in the third quarter during Callisburg’s non-district loss against Muenster on Friday.


Callisburg (1-4) has a bye this week before starting district play.


Parker McGrew ran for two touchdowns and threw a TD pass and Garrett Bindel added two rushing touchdowns for Muenster (5-0).
