Denison junior Lindsay Looney is one of 10 swimmers age 18-and-under selected to represent the United States in the FINA World Cup events in Tokyo and Singapore in November.

The roster, which includes five members of the national team, will compete in Tokyo on Nov. 14-15 and then compete in Singapore on Nov. 18-19.

Last month at the Junior National Championships, Looney won the 400 individual medley, was the runner-up in the 200 butterfly, was fourth in the 200 individual medley, was ninth in the 100 butterfly, tied for 30th in the 200 freestyle and was 47th in the 50 freestyle.

In the spring Looney will look to win a third straight state championship in the Class 5A 200 IM and defend her state championship in the 100 fly, which she set with a 5A record time.
