WHITEWRIGHT — Dylan Cordell had 18 carries for 130 yards and a touchdown and also caught a 27-yard TD pass as Whitewright defeated rival Tom Bean, 47-16, in non-district action on Friday.


Marcus Reeves added 11 carries for 121 yards and two touchdowns, Austin Jones ran for a score and caught a touchdown from Marshall Mangrum and Trevor McCartney chipped in a rushing touchdown for Whitewright (2-1).


Pottsboro 45, Bonham 21


POTTSBORO — Hunter Watson ran for 170 yards and five touchdowns on 13 carries and threw for 120 yards and a score as Pottsboro defeated Bonham in non-district action on Friday.


Eric DeLaCruz added 10 carries for 79 yards, Braden Plyler chipped in eight carries for 67 yards and Drew Edwards caught the TD pass for Pottsboro (2-1).


Hayden Stevenson returned a kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown, Trevor Hartwell had three catches for 102 yards and a TD, Ty Bateman added a 57-yard touchdown reception and Tyler Rodriguez finished with 172 yards passing and 55 rushing for Bonham (1-2).


Melissa 50, Life Waxahachie 29


WAXAHACHIE — Brendon Lewis completed 13-of-21 passes for 230 yards and five touchdowns as Melissa beat Life Waxahachie in non-district action on Friday night.


Marvin Jordan had a pair of touchdown catches, Cole McCraw finished with 80 yards and a score on four catches, Junior Castleberry added two receptions for 58 yards and a TD, Tate Whittington caught a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass and Chance Mapps returned an interception 31 yards for a score for Melissa (2-1).


Gainesville 53, Bridgeport 28


GAINESVILLE — Calion Baker had 18 carries for 169 yards and five touchdowns and caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Draylon Franklin as Gainesville beat Bridgeport in non-district action on Friday night.


Brandon Baker finished with 14 carries for 202 yards and a touchdown for Gainesville (2-1), which has already surpassed last season’s win total.


S&S 17, Collinsville 10


SADLER — Chazz Maxey’s fourth-quarter touchdown run proved to be the difference as S&S topped Collinsville in non-district action.


Maxey finished with 16 carries for 70 yards, Jayce Howard ran seven times for 104 yards and threw a 35-yard touchdown to Cole Sloan and Nick Griffin kicked a 35-yard field goal for S&S (3-0).


Garrett Vannoy had 10 carries for 94 yards and caught two passes for 75 yards, including a touchdown pass from from Cooper Smith, Trey Shelby added 14 carries for 40 yards and Samuel Aldaco kicked a 25-yard field goal for Collinsville (2-1).


Bells 43, Chisum 0


BELLS — Bryan Ponder was 28-of-38 for 417 yards with four touchdown passes and also ran for a score as Bells beat Chisum in non-district action on Friday.


Hunter Hawthorne had nine catches for 204 yards and a score, Newman Montgomery caught three passes for 68 yards and two TDs, Trevor Coglon had four receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown and Jacob Taylor ran for touchdown for Bells (3-0).


Chisum dropped to 1-2 on the season.


Honey Grove 30, Blue Ridge 26


BLUE RIDGE — Trel Pruitt had 18 carries for 137 yards and three touchdowns as Honey Grove beat Blue Ridge in non-district action on Friday night.


Devin Fulbright added eight carries for 64 yards and a TD and also caught a 50-yard pass while Jacob Caffee and Taylor Juarez-Conner had two-point conversions for Honey Grove (2-1).


Joel Linn had eight catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns, Garrett Mathers finished with 141 yards and a TD on 21 carries and Brody Wiggins added a touchdown run for Blue Ridge (1-2).


Argyle 49, Celina 34


CELINA — Noah Ross ran for 221 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries during Celina’s non-district loss against Argyle on Friday night.


Ismael Ortiz added 14 carries for 92 yards and a score, Major Martin had a 94-yard kickoff return for a TD and Ryan Nebeker finished with 13 carries for 35 yards and a touchdown for Celina (1-2).


Jon Copeland was 16-of-25 for 331 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for two scores for Argyle (3-0).


Cooper 20, Callisburg 7


COOPER — Justin Crisp had 10 carries for 154 yards and a touchdown during Callisburg’s non-district loss against Cooper on Friday.


Cameryn Crisp added five carries for 21 yards for Callisburg (0-3).


Rivercrest 55, Trenton 0


BOGATA — Christian Verde had five carries for 15 yards during Trenton’s non-district loss against Rivercrest on Friday night.


Tyler Gray finished with 17 carries for no yards as Trenton (0-3) managed just 19 yards in the game.


Rivercrest (2-0) held a 42-0 half-time lead.


Wolfe City 47, Cumby 14


CUMBY — Jed Cagle ran for three touchdowns and threw a TD pass as Wolfe City defeated Cumby in non-district action on Friday.


Cody Greenway finished with eight carries for 143 yards and a touchdown, Dylan Wilson added 73 yards and a TD on six carries and Micah Alexander caught two passes for 61 yards and a score for Wolfe City (3-0).


Texoma Christian 34, Kennedale Fellowship 16


Jack Turner finished with 17 carries for 86 yards and two touchdown, threw for 99 yards and two scores and returned an interception 20 yards for a TD as Texoma Christian defeated Kennedale Fellowship in non-district action.


Mathias Coleman finished with a pair of catches for 50 yards and a touchdown and Brendan Smith caught a 19-yard TD for Texoma Christian (2-0).
