Kiara Scott added 14 kills, five digs and two aces, Hannah Bilderback chipped in five kills, Courtney Gillespie handed out 33 assists, Taylor Dawes collected 13 digs and Kaylee Walters finished with nine digs for the Lady Yellow Jackets (19-6), who host Denton Ryan to open 5-5A action at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.


Sherman def. Greenville 3-0


The Sherman Lady Cats wrapped up the non-district portion of their schedule Tuesday with a 25-15, 25-18, 25-16 victory over Greenville at Bearcat Gymnasium.


Sherman (23-4) carries an 11-match winning streak into Friday’s District 5-5A opener at Wichita Falls High.


Madi Gladen had 14 kills and nine digs, Rylie Bernard added 13 kills and seven digs and Dallas Aleman finished with 38 assists and eight digs. Averie Young led the Lady Cats with 13 digs, followed by Cameron Wecker with 11 digs.


Down 7-6 in the third set, Sherman reeled off a 10-0 run with Bernard serving to take control. Bernard and Young each finished with three aces.


Melissa def. Denton Braswell 3-0


MELISSA — Susan Blake knocked down 17 kills as Melissa defeated Denton Braswell, 25-10, 29-27, 25-23, in non-district action on Tuesday.


Caroline Kasson added 10 kills and 10 digs, Sophia Davis handed out 17 assists to go with six aces, Charley Lane finished with 11 assists and 10 digs and Brittany Melcher collected 26 digs.


Melissa dominated the net with 10 total blocks (four solo, 12 assisted) with Blake, Anna Fortenberry and Grace Whittington each recording 2½.


Bonham def. Bells 3-1


BELLS — Bella Smith had 13 kills, seven digs and two blocks for Bells but Bonham defeated the Lady Panthers, 27-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-12, in non-district action on Tuesday night.


Dezeray Poe put down nine kills, Emma Cobb added five kills, Cheyenne Floyd and Charli Waggoner each chipped in four kills and Hali Williams handed out 13 assists for Bells, which opens District 11-2A action on Friday when it hosts Wolfe City.


Whitesboro def. Red River Rattlers 3-1


WHITESBORO — Sierra Parks had 12 kills, five blocks and five digs as Whitesboro defeated the Red River Rattlers, 25-19, 19-25, 25-17, 25-23, in non-district action on Tuesday.


Phoenix West added 10 kills and 14 digs, Karlee Schuessler totaled nine kills, 19 digs and 18 assists, Qyra Ressler finished with nine kills and nine digs and Maggie McCorkle chipped in 17 assists, four kills and four digs for Whitesboro (12-10), which opens District 9-3A play when it hosts S&S on Friday.


Dodd City def. Sulphur Bluff 3-0


DODD CITY — Journie Hilliard had seven kills and three blocks as Dodd City swept Sulphur Bluff, 25-10, 25-5, 25-10, in non-district action on Tuesday night.


Sarah Brent added six kills and three digs Abby Weeks handed out 20 assists, Cassandra Woodlee and Madelyn Underwood each chipped in two kills and two digs and Dani Baccus collected four digs for Dodd City (13-6), which opens 11-2A play at Roxton on Friday.


Collinsville def. Tom Bean 3-0


TOM BEAN — Baylee Stautzenberger had six kills and four digs for Tom Bean but Collinsville defeated the Lady Tomcats, 25-13, 25-18, 25-23, in non-district action on Tuesday.


Cheyanne Worley added four kills and eight digs, Jillian Beck totaled three kills, 13 assists and four digs, and Lauren Getts finished with two kills and two digs for Tom Bean.


Leonard def. Pottsboro 3-0


LEONARD — Alyssa Davis had 13 kills, 12 digs and five aces as Leonard defeated Pottsboro, 25-22, 25-14, 25-18, in non-district action on Tuesday.


Chloey Baker collected 10 digs, Linda Feagan handed out 24 assists, Taylor Stricklin put down six kills and Madelyn Butler added five kills for Leonard.

Texoma Christian def. Dallas Cambridge 3-0


The Texoma Christian Lady Eagles improved to 2-0 in TAPPS District 2-2A with a 25-19, 25-14, 25-14 victory over Dallas Cambridge on Tuesday.


The Lady Eagles return to action at 6 p.m. on Thursday when they host Muenster Sacred Heart.
