The Texoma All-Star Game will be held this weekend to to showcase some of the area’s boys basketball talent.


The event starts at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Anna High School with a slam dunk and 3-point competition with the game to follow. Admission is free.


Sherman’s Marcus Klingsick will coach a team made up of Sherman’s Daishawn Nelson, Whitewright’s Desmond McNiel, Whitesboro’s Jonathon Hamon, Pilot Point’s Preston Colburn, Blue Ridge’s Garrett Jones and Harrison Martin, Ector’s Ryan Wilder and Ethan Norwood, Trenton’s Jace Dockery and Honey Grove’s T.K. Williams.


Leonard’s Luke McCarley will coach a team made up of Anna’s Keamoni Mattocks, Dillon Lewis and Elijah Smith, Pottsboro’s Trey McCullough, Van Alstyne’s Michael Hensley, Leonard’s Nathan Anderson, Tom Bean’s Tyler Goff, Noah Boyd and Keoni Puana and Dodd City’s Zach Kennon.


The MVP of the game will get a $500 scholarship on behalf of GCEC.
