BENTONVILLE, Ark. — No. 41 Southeastern racked up a plethora of Great American Conference honors on Thursday night on the heels of its regular-season championship and on the eve of opening play at the GAC Tournament.

Head coach Shawn Hamil was named the league’s Coach of the Year after leading the women to their second-straight regular-season crown and top seed.

Anna Buiukian and Alexsandra Reljic were named first team All-GAC picks, while Samantha Coquinos and Maria Martinez took home second-team honors.

The team’s work in the classroom was also honored as Conchi Assiego, Darija Catipovic and Martinez each were named Crafton Tull Distinguished Scholar Athletes. On the men’s side, the No. 19 Storm closed the regular season with a foursome of GAC honors, highlighted by Guillermo Pardos taking home the league’s Freshman of the Year honor and Alberto Blesa earning the Crafton Tull Elite Scholar Award.

Blesa and Netanel Alcabas were named to the first team, while Kelian Boutleiller was a second-team selection.
