DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern head softball coach Ron Faubion has announced the signing of Sydnee Hinkle who will join the Savage Storm for the 2018 season.

Hinkle, a right-handed hitting catcher from Justin, Texas, will transfer to SE from Murray State with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

She is at the top of the NJCAA Division II ranks in home runs with 15 on the year while hitting .417.

In addition Hinkle has posted an .808 slugging percentage and a .526 on-base percentage with eight doubles and has even tacked on seven stolen bases.

“Sydnee comes from a great family,” said Faubion,” And will fit in well with our team. We’re graduating four-year catcher Conner Harmon and that leaves an opening for Sydnee to step in and play. She hits for average and will also give some added power to the middle of our lineup.”
