KANSAS CITY, Mo. — No. 41 Southeastern’s women pushed their winning streak to 11, downing Nebraska-Kearney, 5-2, in a rematch of last season’s first-round matchup at the NCAA Central Region Tournament.
SE left doubles play with a 2-1 advantage as Alexsandra Reljic and Darija Catipovic picked up a win and Maria Martinez and Luisa Auffarth downed their opponents as well.
Reljic, Samantha Coquinos and Auffarth picked up singles wins to clinch the match.
On the men’s side, No. 19 Southeastern bounced back to score a 5-3 victory over No. 29 Nebraska-Kearney.
The pair of Kelian Bouteiller and Mislav Colak snagged the team’s lone doubles win.
The Storm then mounted a rally in singles play, with wins by Colak, Guillermo Pardos and Petar Popovic. Bouteiller clinched the Storm victory at the No. 3 position.
