WICHITA FALLS — Tre’ Lyday was 2-for-3 with a double and scored during Denison’s 14-4 loss in six innings against first-place Wichita Falls Rider in District 5-5A action on Thursday.


Dalton Souther singled and drove in two runs, Christian Ruebeck was 2-for-3, Seth Thomas doubled and scored, Zach Sanders singled and scored and Nick Sparks drove in a run for Denison (8-17, 4-4), which stayed tied in third place with Braswell after the Bengals lost against Sherman.


The Yellow Jackets host Denton at 7 p.m. on Friday.


Wichita Falls (20-4, 9-0) held a 5-3 before breaking the game open with a seven-run third inning.

Bells 11, Celeste 3


BELLS — Hunter Hawthorne and Matthew Conner combined on a one-hitter as Bells clinched a playoff spot with a victory against Celeste on Thursday.


Hawthorne went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI, Conner scored twice, Jacob Taylor was 2-for-3 with a triple, drove in a run and scored twice, Tyler Hawthorne was 2-for-3 with three RBI and scored and Tuff Dowlen drove in two runs for Bells (14-7, 8-3).


Trenton 7, Blue Ridge 1


BLUE RIDGE — Raul Caro was 3-for-3 with a home run, double, four RBI and scored twice as first-place Trenton beat Blue Ridge in district action on Thursday.


Justin Lambright threw a one-hitter, striking out eight and walking one, Jordy Caro was 3-for-4 and drove in a run, Zackary Cranford doubled and scored and Tyler Haggard scored twice for Trenton (18-5, 11-0), which needs one more win to clinch an outright district title.


Brody Wiggins had the lone hit and Evan Beasley walked for Blue Ridge.

FORT WORTH — Nolan Gage was 3-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and scored as Texoma Christian beat Bethesda Christian in district action on Thursday.


Jack Turner was 2-for-3 and scored twice, Jordan Kroeker was 3-for-5, drove in a run and scored, Justin Estrada doubled, drove in a run and scored and Blaise Bentsen singled, drove in a run and scored twice for Texoma Christian (3-3, 2-1).
