SULPHUR SPRINGS — Boston Byerly scored eight points during Denison’s 77-35 non-district loss against Sulphur Springs on Tuesday night.


H.D. Speed added seven points while Connor Massenburg and Noah Burden chipped in six points apiece for Denison (0-4), which will compete in the Sanger Tournament on Thursday.

VAN ALSTYNE — Noah Boling scored 22 points as Van Alstyne beat Melissa.


Tyler Sperry had 15 points while Landon Pardee and Julian Wilson chipped in eight points apiece for Van Alstyne.


Kennedy Lewis and Matt Holloway scored nine points apiece for Melissa.


Whitesboro 53, Aubrey 49, (OT)


WHITESBORO — Jonathan Hamon scored 26 points as Whitesboro edged Aubrey.


David Shamasko added eight points and Brendon Wilson totaled seven points for Whitesboro (3-0), which faces Frisco Independence in the Sanger Tournament at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.


Pottsboro 55, Bells 48, (OT)


POTTSBORO — The Cardinals erased a 12-point deficit to force overtime, then outscored Bells 7-0 in the extra period to grab a victory against the Panthers.


Jaxon Recer led Pottsboro (2-1) with 18 points, followed by Ethyn Snider with 11 and Kai Barr with 10.


Hunter Hawthorne had a game-high 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Maverick Priest chipped in with 10 for Bells (1-1), which took a 46-34 lead into the final period of regulation but managed only one bucket in the final 12 minutes.


The Cardinals open the S&S tournament against Valley View at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.


Tom Bean 65, Leonard 60


TOM BEAN — Noah Boyd had 24 points, eight rebounds and seven steals as Tom Bean beat Leonard.


Keoni Puana added 15 points and three assists, Tyler Goff totaled 11 points and eight rebounds, Bryce Grier scored eight points and Ben Lind grabbed eight rebounds for Tom Bean.


Gunter 83, Valley View 38


VALLEY VIEW — Brandyn Brewer scored 21 points as Gunter defeated Valley View.


Logan Nelson added 16 points, Zander Turner finished with 13 points, Tyler Scott chipped in 12 points, Quinten Layman totaled nine points and Nick Gonzalez contributed eight points for Gunter, which had a 57-13 halftime lead.


Blue Ridge 50, Ector 44


ECTOR — Harrison Martin scored 17 points as Blue Ridge beat Ector.


Garrett Jones added 14 points and Chaice Weatherford added eight points for Blue Ridge.


Austin Earl scored 24 points, Ethan Norwood chipped in 10 points and Andrew Groneck totaled nine points for Ector, which plays at Roxton on Tuesday.


S&S 61, Era 31


SADLER — Devin Orr had 13 points and nine rebounds as S&S defeated Era.


Mason Gabriel added 13 points and four assists and Colby Howard finished with 12 points and six rebounds for S&S.
