POTTSBORO — Whitesboro’s Zach James and Pottsboro’s Hayden Foster had top-four finishes at the Denison Fall Stinger Classic earlier this week at Tanglewood Resort.

POTTSBORO — Whitesboro’s Zach James and Pottsboro’s Hayden Foster had top-four finishes at the Denison Fall Stinger Classic earlier this week at Tanglewood Resort.


James carded a 73 to finish one shot behind North Lamar’s Chase Pasternack while Foster was fourth with a 78 on Monday. Whitesboro’s Aaron Dodds shot an 81 to tie for seventh.


North Lamar’s A team won the title with a combined 327, seven shots ahead of Plano East. Whitesboro was seventh with a 358.


Denison finished ninth in the team standings with a combined 369. Austin Adams tied for 18th with an 86 while Zach Denison tied for 22nd two shots back and Andrew Crain was at 95. The Yellow Jackets return to action at Twin Creeks Golf Club in Allen on Oct. 28.
