HOWE — The School Board of Howe Independent School District will hold a special meeting on Wednesday night to conduct it’s annual Team of Eight training as mandated by the state.

"This is just a required training that the Board does every year," explained Superintendent Kevin Wilson. "It’s typically a good review of our roles and responsibilities, and to make sure everybody’s acting as a unit."

The Howe Board will welcome Dr. Wayne King from the Region 10 Service Center to conduct the training. According to the service center’s website, the training will focus on "an evaluation and analysis of the Board as an operational team and setting the continuing education goals for the Board/Superintendent team for the following year."

"I think it’s valuable training for us," said Wilson.

The meeting will convene at the Howe ISD headquarters, located at 105 West Tutt Street, at 6 p.m.
