The benefit was to support the Courtney Flores, wife of SPD Detective Zachary Flores. She has been undergoing cancer treatments.

Sherman Police Association President Jeremy Cox said, "Due to the lack of ticket sales and the projected low turnout, the event (Flores Family Benefit) at the Mayor Arena (Loy Lake Park) this weekend will be postponed." He said a future date will be chosen that will hopefully allow for more people who wanted to attend to have the opportunity to do so.

"We know everyone that is involved and has helped out wants the maximum benefit for the effort put in. We feel that this will best meet that goal," Cox said.
