BONHAM — On Thursday morning, the Bonham Visitors Center, in conjunction with the Bonham Tourism Advisory Committee, hosted the representatives from the Texas Travel Industry Association. The visit was part of their 2013 Study Tour of Northeast Texas tourism locations.

"Although the group had allocated only a brief 50 minutes in Bonham, they were given a real flavor of the many things our small city has to offer visitors," says a press release from the Bonham Visitor and Information Center.

Twenty-one representatives from various groups watched and listened as presenters from the Bonham State Park, Creative Arts Center, Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, Fannin County Historical Museum and Commission, Fort Inglish Village, the Fannin County Outdoors and the Sam Rayburn House gave short presentations highlighting their attractions.

The meeting was held at the Sam Rayburn Library and the group toured the Library as part of the visit. Presenters also spoke about several important recurring community events including: the Quilt Hop, Heritage Day, and Trade Days.

"They left with brochures (and) contact information on everything shown to them," says the release. "This was a wonderful showcase for Bonham."
