BONHAM — The historic Bethlehem Baptist Church, organized in 1871, will celebrate their Pastor and Wife’s 7th anniversary and honor Rev. and Mrs. Stuart Courtney at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

BONHAM — The historic Bethlehem Baptist Church, organized in 1871, will celebrate their Pastor and Wife’s 7th anniversary and honor Rev. and Mrs. Stuart Courtney at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.


Special guest Billy Robinson of North Dallas Community Fellowship Baptist Church of Carrollton, will deliver the message. The theme is "A Man Set Apart by God" based on Jere. 1:4-5.


Rev. Courtney, the youngest of 12 children, was born to the late Rev. Dr. Alvin Courtney and Mother Willie Courtney. He was licensed and ordained at the historic Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church , by the late Rev. Cecil Smith Sr.


Rev. Courtney has been in Christian ministry more than 20 years, as a teacher, youth director, deacon, youth pastor and now senior pastor.


He is a 19-year employee of Sprint Corporation, Board Chairman at the MLK Medical Center of Dallas and Executive Board Member of Glory to Glory Youth and Leadership Conference.


Courtney and Deadra, his wife of 19 years, have two daughters, Natalie and Madison.
