SHERMAN — Faith Church will host Power Hour: Ladies Who Lunch on Thursday, March 27. Guest speaker Shirley Mullinix will present "No, I Didn’t Stay Home," her story of achieving success in the male-dominated banking industry.

SHERMAN — Faith Church will host Power Hour: Ladies Who Lunch on Thursday, March 27. Guest speaker Shirley Mullinix will present "No, I Didn’t Stay Home," her story of achieving success in the male-dominated banking industry.


The luncheon cost is $10 per person and will be served in the church’s fellowship hall, starting at 11:45 a.m.


Ms. Mullinix spent her entire career in the banking industry. She became the first female bank president and CEO in the entire North Texas and Southern Oklahoma region. In her presentation, she will share the challenges she faced in her career and how hard work and perseverance helped her achieve her goals.


She spent more than 45 years in the banking industry before retiring from the First National Bank of Bells in 2008. She remained on the Bank Board until 2011. Shirley is active in her church and enjoys jewelry-making and spending time with family and friends.
