DENISON — The Christian Science Society in Denison invites everyone to the Sunday services and Sunday School at 10 a.m. Testimonies of healing are held the first and third Wednesday of each month at 8 p.m.


The lesson for this Sunday is "Sacrament." The Golden Text is Psalm 67:6.

DENISON — "A Sermon in Song" will be presented by Jim Scott, an acclaimed singer and songwriter, at the 11:15 a.m. service at Red River Unitarian Universalist Church on Sunday.


Scott, an accomplished guitarist in the jazz, classical and folk genres, has performed with luminaries such as John Denver, Joan Baez, Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell and Dan Fogelberg, and has done concerts across the nation and in several countries in Europe. He co-wrote the celebrated Gaia-Earth Mass and other pieces with the Paul Winter Consort. His hymns celebrating peace, justice and the earth are staples at UU churches across the country.
