ANNA — This Sunday begins the "Week of Prayer for International Missions" at Calvary Baptist Church. DENISON — "Yule Find It Here" will be the topic of the Rev. Douglas Morgan Strong’s sermon at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Red River Unitarian Universalist Church.


A retired UU minister and a member of the RRUU congregation, Rev. Strong will discuss Christmas traditions, music, and the importance of ritual in a Unitarian context.

POTTSBORO — Georgetown Baptist and Friends will present two performances of "Christmas At Georgetown" on December 8 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Rialto Theatre. Chris Lovejoy, music minister at Georgetown and his wife, Lesa will direct nostalgic remembrances of Christmas songs, new music and carols celebrating the true meaning of the season. This show will feature singing and dancing by the Lovejoy extended family, Georgetown Baptist folks and other friends. Bobby Hancock, pastor, and his wife, Lynn will be narrating the show.
