SHERMAN — The New Birth Cathedral of Praise will host its Annual Conference this Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast. The conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude about 1 p.m.

SHERMAN — The New Birth Cathedral of Praise will host its Annual Conference this Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast. The conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude about 1 p.m.


The theme for the day is "A Call to Courageous Living" based on Psalm 31:25.


Speakers for the conference will include: Elder Sabrina Castle of Temple of Faith, Hope and Grace, Sherman; Deacon Hal Hinton of Greater Coffey COGIC, Denison; Min. Lavonna Wright, New Birth, Sherman; Rev. Marvin Taylor, New Hope Christian, Denison; Min. Angela Steele, The Conquerors Church, Sherman; Mikeil Justice, New Birth, Sherman; Rev. Barbara Ford, Daniel’s House of Deliverance, Sherman; Min. Michael Turner, New Life Community, Frisco; and Min. Christina Kador, New Life Community.


Special music will be provided by the Male Chorus of New Life Community Church in Frisco. Lunch will be provided after the conference.


This Sunday, New Birth will be celebrating its 22nd annual "Men and Women’s Day" at 3:30 p.m. starting at 3:30 p.m. The theme for the service is "A Call to Courageous Living" from Psalm 31:24.


Rev. Craig Davis, pastor of Progressive Baptist Church in Sherman, will be the guest speaker.


New Birth COP invites the public to come and worship with them at both of these services.


Rev. Charles Brown Jr. is pastor of the church, located at 2310 N. Travis in Sherman, and Bishop C.H. Brown Sr. is the senior pastor.
