We were both shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Keith Brown. We’ve known Keith for nearly 50 years. He was a friend of our family’s. He was always interested in and supported both of our children. He was a mentor to our son when he practiced law in Sherman.

When Keith was elected to the Sherman school board of trustees he became a public figure and as such was rightfully subject to public scrutiny. But there was so much more to Keith. He was a devoted father. He was a generous contributor to both his church and the community he loved. He never sought accolades nor recognition for that generosity. Keith made mistakes in his life as each of us has but unlike many of us he acknowledged and learned from them.

He will be greatly missed by those of us who knew his true character. Keith saw the good in others and we saw that same good in him. We loved this guy and are proud to call him our friend.
