A one-vehicle accident on the Highway 75 service road Wednesday afternoon caused one man to be airlifted to the hospital.

Shortly before 4 p.m. an SUV was traveling northbound on Highway 75 when it tried to take exit 57, said Sgt. D.M. Hampton of the Sherman Police Department. As the driver was exiting he hit loose gravel and then a guard rail, causing the car to flip. This ejected the driver from the SUV.

The driver sustained multiple traumatic injuries, but was conscious when EMS treated him, Hampton said. Responders airlifted the man to the Medical Center of Plano.

The accident is still under investigation, Hampton said.
