Online Solicitation of a Minor - A man was arrested Thursday for online solicitation of a minor. Police received a report of this activity and began an investigation to locate the suspect. The man had made arrangements to meet a 14-year-old girl at a local park for sex, said police reports. Detectives arrested the man when he arrived and took him to Grayson County Jail.


Narcotics Warrant - Sherman Police and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search Tuesday in the 600 block of Smith Oak Road. A police report said the warrant was issued in reference to narcotics activity and metal thefts. Law enforcement secured the residence and surrounding property. The narcotics and stolen items were located and seized. Police arrested five individuals for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.


Driving While License Invalid - On Wednesday officers were called to the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway to respond to a disturbance. The caller told police that one of the parties involved was leaving in a pickup. Officers found the truck and stopped it in the 4900 block of Texoma Parkway. The driver had a license status of not eligible. He was arrested for driving with an invalid license, with previous conviction and for failing to have insurance, the report said, and taken to Grayson County Jail.


Deceptive Business Practices - A man came to the SPD Thursday to report that he had purchased an item online, but did not receive the item he was trying to purchase. Police spoke with the man and made a report for deceptive business practices.


Loud, Disturbing and Unnecessary Noise - Police responded to a disturbance Thursday at a hotel in the 2100 block of Texoma Pkwy. A man began yelling profanities loudly in public areas of the hotel. The man was arrested for loud, disturbing and unnecessary noise and taken to jail.
