Council Place 1 was left vacant after Matt Hanley resigned the position pending an expected move elsewhere in the city. The vacancy will be filled by Teresa Adams, who filed to run for the position.

Matt Hanley will be running for Council Place 5, an at large position currently held by Mayor Pro Tem David Spindle. Spindle is at his term limit. The at large position would allow Hanley flexibility in his move.

Ken Brawley was unopposed in his run to keep his position for Council Place 3.

The new Council members will be sworn in at the May 17 City Council Meeting, the first to be held after the scheduled election.
