• I have run my own successful auction business for over 30 years.

• I have been your County Commissioner for almost twelve years.

2. The Texas Open Meetings Act requires business that comes before the Commissioners Court, in both open and closed sessions, to be publically posted in sufficient detail to alert the public to issues of interest to them. What would you do to improve commissioners’ compliance with this act?

• Our weekly meetings are posted at the west door of the Courthouse, on the County website and also published in the Herald Democrat. We could discuss having Cable One publish this information and possibly record our meetings.

3. Would you support creating a Grayson County Mental Health court similar to the Drug and Family Law courts and/or establish a position for a Mental Health Officer? Please explain.

• The Commissioner’s Court allocates $40,000 a year for MHMR services at this time. With that said, I would support this Court if it assured that these people had equal and fair process through our legal system and are not on drugs!

4. Do you support the establishment of a Veterans Court in Grayson County? Please explain.

• I presently serve on the Veteran’s Review Board for Emergency Financial Assistance and would very much support a Veterans Court.
