Public intoxication - Officers were dispatched Sunday to the 3100 block of North U.S. Highway 75 in regarding a welfare concern. A caller reported seeing a woman go into the bathroom at a business. The woman then did not come out for an extended period of time. She was found intoxicated and passed out in the bathroom. The woman admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and to taking pills. Police arrested her for public intoxication. A man who was with the suspect was found sitting in a car outside the business. He was found to be intoxicated and had no recollection of the events leading up to him arriving at the gas station. He intended on going home either on foot or by car, and was deemed to be a danger to himself and others. Police arrested the man for public intoxication and took him to the Grayson County Jail.

Fraud - On Friday, an officer spoke with a man in the 200 block of North Travis Street regarding a burglary. The man said someone broke into the saddle bag on his motorcycle and stole financial information. The officer made a report for burglary of vehicle and a report for fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.


Assault - Police responded to an assault call Friday in the 900 block of South Bryant Avenue. After an investigation police determined that a man had assaulted his girlfriend. He also had a small amount of marijuana in his house which he claimed was his. Police arrested the man for assault causing bodily injury family violence and for possession of marijuana, less than two ounces.


Theft - An officer spoke with a man Friday in the 300 block of West Moore Street regarding a burglary. The man said someone stole two handguns from his house while he was away. The officer made a report for theft of firearm.


Driving while license invalid - An officer was dispatched to an accident Friday in the 1300 block of East Cherry Street. Upon his arrival the officer found a car had struck a pole. The driver of the car was taken to get medical attention. The officer found that the driver had a suspended driver’s license with a previous conviction for driving with license invalid. The officer made a report for driving while license invalid.


Forgery - A woman came to the police department Friday to report a forgery. She said a suspect has been using her routing number and bank information to write checks. Police made a report for forgery of a financial instrument.


Driving while license invalid - On Saturday, an officer made a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Willow Street. A man was driving with a suspended driver’s license and had previous convictions for driving with a suspended license. Police arrested the man for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.


Criminal Mischief - An officer was dispatched Saturday to a house in the 4800 block of West Houston Street regarding criminal mischief. The victim said she had had an argument with a friend earlier in the evening, and she believed the friend came back later and punctured the tires in her car. The officer made a report for criminal mischief. The suspect is reportedly homeless and was not located.


Driving while intoxicated - On Sunday, an officer observed a truck driving on the wrong side of the road. The officer stopped the truck. After conducting a field sobriety test, the officer concluded the driver was intoxicated and arrested him for driving while intoxicated.


Credit card abuse - Officers were dispatched Sunday to the 1900 block of West Taylor Street in reference to a theft. Officers arrived and learned one of the credit cards stolen had already been used. A report was made for credit card or debit card abuse.
