Stolen vehicle — An officer stopped a car Wednesday in the 2800 block of W. Crawford Street for a minor traffic violation. The officer learned that the car had been reported stolen from Fort Worth. The officer arrested the driver for an outstanding Grayson County warrant and for theft.

Theft — May 19 a resident reported to police that an unknown person removed 115 feet of aluminum wire from the bed of his pickup while it was parked in the 100 block of W. Monterey Street.
Theft — May 20 police responded to a theft in the 100 block of E. Morton Street. A resident said that the prior tenant moved out of the house and took a stove, washer, dryer, air conditioner and several fixtures from the house. The investigation will continue.
Theft — Police responded to a theft May 20 at a store in the 400 block of N. U.S. Highway 75. Store employees said that two men picked up items and attempted to get a refund on them. They left the store and went to the Sherman location of the store, and were detained there. One of the men was arrested for burglary of a building because he had been given a criminal trespass warning to not come back on store property. The other man was arrested for theft.
Harassment — A woman told police May 20 that her ex-boyfriend has been harassing her by repeatedly calling her and making statements that concern her. The investigation will continue.
Possession of a controlled substance — May 21 an officer stopped a car in the 1500 block of S. Austin Avenue for a minor traffic violation. The driver had outstanding Denison PD warrants, was in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine and had someone else’s debit cards. The officer arrested the woman for the warrants, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and fraudulent possession of identifying information.
Assault — May 20 an officer responded to a disturbance in the 1900 block of W. Taylor Street. The victim and a witness said that the suspect slapped the victim across the face. The victim had visible indication of injury and said she felt pain. The officer arrested the suspect for assault causes bodily injury family member.
Assault — Police responded to an assault May 20 in the 5000 block of Rolling Hills Drive. A man assaulted his wife during an argument. Police arrested the man and took him to the Grayson County Jail.
Possession of a controlled substance — May 21 an officer initiated a traffic stop with a car in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway for defective equipment. The officer asked the driver to step out of the car. When he did, a pill fell from his lap onto the ground. The pill was later found to be a prescription drug. The officer searched the car and found several items of drug paraphernalia, specifically paraphernalia used to inject methamphetamine. The officer arrested the driver for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug.
Theft — An officer responded May 21 to a store in the 400 block of E. Highway 82 regarding a theft. Store employees had detained two women for concealing items and attempting to leave the store without paying. The officer arrested the women for theft.
Theft — Thursday police responded to a theft at a business in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway. The victim said that copper had been taken from his property. Police made a report for theft.
Burglary — Police responded to a theft Thursday at a house in the 1300 block of N. Travis Street. The victim said that several pieces of jewelry were missing from the home. Police made a report for theft.
Found property — A man told officers Thursday that he found a wallet on his porch in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway. Officers were unable to make contact with the owner of the wallet, so they made a report for found property and put the wallet in Sherman PD evidence for safe keeping.
Assault — Friday officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of S. Willow Street. The victim said that he and his wife had been arguing when his wife hit him with an electrical cord and then left. Police made a report for assault causing bodily injury family violence.
Theft — Officers responded to a theft Friday at a store in the 2700 block of N. U.S. Highway 75. The store manager said that several items were missing from the store. The officers made a report for theft.
Criminal mischief — Police received a report of a damaged cross connect box Friday near the intersection of E. Lamberth Road and Loy Lake Road. An officer responded and found that sometime the night before, a car had hit the box and left without providing any information. The officer made a report for criminal mischief, and the investigation is ongoing.
Harassment — A woman spoke to an officer about harassment Friday in the 1800 block of Loy Lake Road. The woman said her ex-boyfriend and father of their child had approached her in that area. The ex-boyfriend threatened to beat her up if she did not allow him to see his child. The officer made a report for harassment.
Burglary — A woman called police Friday to report that her car had been burglarized while parked in the 600 block of Graham Drive. Sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., an unknown person entered the woman’s car and removed a laptop. Police made a report for burglary of motor vehicle.
Theft — Friday a woman called police and reported a theft that occurred Thursday at a store in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway. Two men had entered the store and took numerous electronic items. Police made a report for theft.
Public intoxication — Police responded to a report of an intoxicated man Friday in the 400 block of W. Texas Street. The man was stumbling and unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and smelled like alcohol. He wanted to walk home, which police believed would have placed himself and others in danger. Police arrested the man for public intoxication with three prior convictions.
Assault — Saturday officers responded to a report of an assault in the 2200 block of Kevin Court. Officers found that a woman had assaulted her husband, but the victim refused to cooperate with the investigation. The officers arrested the woman for public intoxication, disorderly conduct language and resist arrest search or transport.
Burglary — Police received a call of a theft Saturday in the 1000 block of N. Brents Avenue. The victim said that an unknown person broke into her home and stole several items of clothing. Police made a report for theft.
Criminal mischief — An officer responded to a criminal mischief call Saturday in the 1000 block of Valentine Drive. The victim said that an unknown person broke the driver’s side window of his car. The officer made a report for criminal mischief.
Criminal mischief — Sunday an officer responded to a report of possible shots fired in the 400 block of W. Dulin Street. When the officer arrived, he found a Jeep that had three broken windows. The damage did not appear to be caused by a firearm. The officer made a report for criminal mischief.
