Theft — A man called police Monday to report a theft that occurred in the 800 block of E. Centennial Street, according to police reports. Sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, an unknown suspect entered the man’s backyard while it was unlocked and removed three chickens from a chicken coop. Police made a report for theft.

Burglary — Monday officers responded to a burglary in the 1100 block of E. Summit Street. The caller said two people tried to break into a neighbor’s house and her husband detained one of the suspects. The detained suspect fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. When the officers arrived, they found that a house in the 900 block of E. Summit Street had been burglarized. The rear door of the house had been forced open and a television was found in the backyard.
Theft — A woman called police Monday to report a theft that occurred in the 1400 block of LaSalle Drive. Sometime between 8 p.m. on Thursday and 3 p.m. on Friday, a man that the woman knew removed a laptop computer from her house. Police made a report for theft.
Possession of marijuana — An officer conducted a traffic stop Monday in the 1600 block of Texoma Parkway. The officer discovered that the driver’s license had been suspended and the driver did not have car insurance, so the officer arrested the driver. Once the officer arrested the driver, the driver told the officer that he was in possession of marijuana. The officer seized the marijuana and took the driver to the Grayson County Jail.
Criminal mischief — Monday a man called police to report an incident of criminal mischief that occurred in the 2300 block of W. Taylor Street. At 7 p.m. on Sunday, an unknown person threw a rock at the window of the man’s apartment, shattering the glass. The man went outside but did not see anyone. Police made a report for criminal mischief.
Lost property — A woman reported to an officer Monday that she lost her wallet while in the 2300 block of Texoma Parkway. The officer made a report for lost property.
Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon — An officer responded to a disturbance Monday in the 2300 block of S. Crockett Street. The victim reported that his son threatened to hit him with a hammer and then damaged a window of his car. The son fled the scene prior to police arrival, and was not located. The officer made a report for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief. The suspect will be filed on at large for both charges.
Public intoxication — An officer went Monday to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Taylor Street regarding a man trying to break into an apartment. When the officer arrived, he found a man in one of the breezeways holding onto the suspect. The woman who called 911 told the officer that the suspect was a friend of hers and had been in her apartment with her consent just before the officer arrived. The officer determined that the suspect was severely intoxicated, and arrested him for public intoxication.
Possession of marijuana — Tuesday officers responded to a house in the 500 block of S. Gribble Street regarding warrant service. Dispatch received information that a woman at the house had felony arrest warrant. When officers arrived they saw the woman leaving the house. Officers made contact with her and upon confirmation of the warrant, the officers took her into custody. While the officers were searching her, she told officers she was in possession of marijuana. Two small baggies of a green leafy substance that smelled like marijuana was found in her purse.
Burglary — Thursday police responded to a burglary in the 2500 block of Steven Drive. The victim said an unknown person entered her unlocked car and removed her wallet.
Criminal mischief — Police responded Friday to criminal mischief in the 100 block of N. Hickory Avenue. The victim said that an unknown person damaged several tires on two of his cars.
Criminal mischief — Friday a woman reported to police that an unknown person "keyed" her car while it was parked in the 200 block of W. Hull Street, scratching the paint to the metal.
Theft — Police responded to a theft Friday in the 1200 block of Carla Drive. The victim said that an unknown person stole his daughter’s purse in a restroom at the high school.
Theft — Saturday police responded to a store in the 400 block of N. U.S. 75 regarding a theft. Store employees said that a woman changed UPC labels on some items and scanned them at the self checkout. The UPC labels that were scanned showed the value of the items to be much less than the actual amount of the items. Police arrested the woman for tampering with ID numbers.
Burglary — Police responded to a house burglary Saturday in the 500 block of W. Burrell Street. An unknown person broke into the house and stole $1,700 worth of jewelry. The DPD will be following up on leads.
Theft — Police responded to a theft Saturday at a store in the 400 block of N. U.S. 75. Store employees said a man picked up items and attempted to leave the store without paying. Police arrested the man for theft.
Theft — Police went Saturday to a store in the 400 block of N. U.S. 75 regarding a theft. Store employees said that a man had stolen merchandise and returned it for a gift card. Another man and a woman assisted the man in this incident. Police arrested all three suspects for theft. The first man was also arrested for an outstanding Grayson County warrant and for fail to identify/fugitive from justice after he gave a false name to officers.
Assault — Sunday police responded to an assault in the 600 block of Pershing Drive. The victim said that her husband assaulted her by pulling her down to the ground and not letting her get up after he accused her of having an affair. Police arrested the man for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
Theft — Police responded to a theft Sunday at a store in the 2900 block of F.M. 120 West. Store employees said that an unknown man entered the store, gathered up $459.96 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying for it. The suspect got into a blue Ford car and left the scene. The investigation will continue.
