Theft — Friday a woman called police to report a theft, according to police reports. Thursday while inside a store located in the 400 block of East Highway 82, she mistakenly left her cell phone in the restroom. She later returned to the restroom only to find the cell phone was gone. The woman did not know who was responsible for the theft of the phone. Police made a report for theft.


Theft — A woman called police Friday to report a theft. Between 8:49 p.m. and 8:52 p.m. Thursday, two men entered a store located in the 2000 block of S. Crockett Street. Once inside, one of the men selected two twelve packs of beer, and both men left without paying. Police made a report for theft.


Theft — Police were contacted by a woman Friday reporting a theft. Sometime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., an unknown suspect removed the rear license plate from the woman’s car when it was parked in the 3900 block of N. Town Center Street. Police made a report for theft.


Driving while license invalid — Police went to the 1800 block of N. Travis Street Friday regarding an accident. One of the drivers involved was driving their vehicle with a suspended license, and had a previous conviction for the same offense. The driver will be filed on at large for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.


Driving while license invalid — Police made a traffic stop Friday in the 300 block of N. Harrison Avenue due to a car failing to stop at a stop sign. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver did not have insurance on the car. Police arrested the driver for driving while license invalid and no proof of financial responsibility.


Found property — A man came to the Sherman Police Department Friday to report found property. The man found several debit cards in the 2900 block of N. U.S. Highway 75. Police placed the cards into evidence.


Assault — Police went to the 300 block of W. Tennessee Street Thursday regarding a disturbance. A physical altercation had occurred. The victim received minor injuries and did not request medical attention. The suspect did not receive any injuries. Police arrested the suspect for assault causes bodily injury family member and made a report.


Public intoxication — Saturday officers responded to the 500 block of N. Highland Avenue regarding an intoxicated woman causing a disturbance. The officers found the suspect, and she admitted to taking prescription medications. Her speech was slurred and she was unsteady on her feet. Her only means of transportation was driving herself, which would place herself in others in danger. Officers arrested the suspect for public intoxication and made a report.


Driving while license invalid — An officer conducted a traffic stop Saturday in the 500 block of W. Houston Street. The officer stopped the car for not having proof of financial responsibility. The driver had a suspended license and two outstanding city of Sherman warrants. The officer arrested the woman and took her to the Grayson County Jail.


Driving while license invalid — An officer stopped a car Saturday in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway. The driver had a suspended license and did not have insurance. The officer arrested him for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.


Public intoxication — At 2:53 a.m. Saturday an officer saw a man walking in the road of the 100 block of N. Travis Street. The officer spoke with the man, and found that we was intoxicated to the point to be a danger to himself and others. The officer arrested the man for public intoxication and took him to the Grayson County Jail.


Public intoxication —Saturday an officer was dispatched to assist with a suspicious person in the 1000 block of N. Travis Street. The officer saw a man running from the area. The officer located the man in the 300 block of Vernon Holland Drive. The man admitted to being intoxicated. The officer deemed the man a danger to himself, arrested him and took him to the Grayson County Jail.


Credit card abuse — Saturday a woman came to the Sherman Police Department to report her wallet stolen. She said the wallet was stolen Friday at a church in the 900 block E. Houston Street. The suspect had already used one of her credit cards. Police made a report for credit card abuse.


Criminal mischief — Police responded to a burglary Saturday at a house in the 1000 block of N. Harrison Avenue. An investigation showed that nothing was missing from the house, but the front door was damaged. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Theft — An officer responded to a report of shoplifting Saturday at a store in the 400 block of E. U.S. Highway 82. Store employees had detained the suspect, and the officer found that the suspect had two previous convictions of theft. The officer arrested the suspect for theft of property with previous convictions and took him to the Grayson County Jail.


Criminal trespass — An officer went Saturday to the 600 block of E. Summit Street regarding a criminal trespass. A woman said that a man was on her property after he had been given a criminal trespass warning for the property. The officer made a report for criminal trespass.


Driving while license invalid — An officer stopped a car Saturday for a traffic violation in the 3200 block of N. FM 1417. The driver had a suspended license and his car did not have any insurance. The officer arrested the driver for driving while license invalid with no insurance and previous conviction.


Assault — An officer went Saturday to the 2000 block of N. Collins Freeway regarding a disturbance between a man and a woman. The officer learned that the two are in a dating relationship. The woman sustained minor injuries from the disturbance, which caused pain. The officer arrested the man was for assault and took him to the Grayson County Jail.


Assault — Sunday a woman reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend at a house in the 2000 block of N. Travis Street. Police made a report for assault.


Death investigation — Sunday an 82-year-old man was found deceased in his house in the 400 block of W. Pelton Street. Police conducted a death investigation.


Information files only — An officer went Sunday to the 1100 block of W. College Street regarding suspicious text messages. A man said he received text messages from an unknown person by mistake that refer to serious criminal activity. The man was concerned and contacted the police.


Burglary — Monday officers went to a business in the 1700 block of S. Heritage Parkway regarding a burglary alarm. Officers found that the business had been burglarized, and suspects stole smokeless tobacco products and energy drinks. The officers made a report for burglary of building.
