Theft — On Monday, police received a call from the the manager of a business in the 2100 block of S. Heritage Parkway. The manager said that Friday a trailer had been stolen from the business. Police made a report for theft of property.

Walking on highway with traffic, no sidewalk — Police stopped a suspect in a theft investigation Monday in the 4100 block of U.S. Highway 75 North. When the suspect was released, police saw him walking on the wrong side of the street. Police arrested the man and took him to the Grayson County Jail.


Criminal mischief — Police went to a house Monday in the 1400 block of La Salle Drive regarding criminal mischief. A woman said that her former boyfriend stopped by her house earlier and jerked open the storm door, damaging the lock. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Theft — On Tuesday, a business in the 18000 block of W. U.S. Highway 82 reported that a utility vehicle had been stolen. Police made a report for theft.


Theft — An officer went Tuesday to a store in the 400 block of E. U.S. Highway 82 regarding a theft. Employees at the store took the suspect into custody after he attempted to leave the store without paying for an item. The officer arrested the suspect for theft.


Criminal mischief — Police received a report of criminal mischief Tuesday in the 3000 block of Northridge Drive. A man broke the windshield on a car in which he had only a partial interest. Police made a report and assigned the area to patrol.


Theft — Police were dispatched Tuesday to the 1700 block of S. FM 1417 regarding a woman refusing to leave an apartment. When the officers arrived they located the suspect in the victim’s apartment. The victim said the suspect was refusing to give him back his phone. Police found the phone on the suspect and arrested her for theft. While searching the suspect, the officers also found a forged check that was not authorized by the victim. Police also charged the woman with forgery of financial instrument elderly.


Criminal mischief — An officer responded to a report of criminal mischief Tuesday in the 600 block of S. Gribble Street. The victim said that an unknown person damaged a window to a vacant residence under renovations, as well as damaged a vehicle parked at the house. The officer made a report for criminal mischief.


Possession of a controlled substance — On Tuesday, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Western Hills Drive. The officer arrested the occupants of the car on outstanding warrants. The officer also searched the car and found a crystal-like substance and illegal prescription pills. The crystal-like substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

A small fire occurred at a house in the 1200 block of Ridgewood Road in Denison Wednesday afternoon. A pile of clothes caught on fire after being placed on top of a power strip, said Assistant Chief Bill Ray. The fire was out by the time firefighters arrived.
