Denison Police


Criminal Trespass — Saturday police responded to a hospital in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 in reference to a criminal trespass. A man made threats to hospital employees and then locked himself in the bathroom. The employees unlocked the door and asked the man to leave the hospital, but he refused. Police arrested the man for criminal trespass.


Assault — Sunday police responded to an assault at a house in the 2500 block of Steven Drive. The suspect assaulted a man who was trying to force the suspect out of his bedroom. Police arrested the suspect for assault causing bodily injury/family violence with a previous conviction. Denison EMS responded but the victim refused treatment and transportation.


Assault — Police responded to an assault Sunday in the 800 block of W. Day Street. The victim said his juvenile sister bit him and tried to stab him over a confrontation involving her taking some property of his. The girl said that her brother tore things up in her room and assaulted her by slapping and choking her. Police arrested the girl for aggravated assault/family violence and took her to the Juvenile Detention Center. Police arrested the brother for assault causing bodily injury/family violence/impending breath.


Unauthorized Use of Vehicle — A woman reported an incident of unauthorized use of vehicle Sunday that occurred in the 800 block of W. Crawford Street. The woman said a man drove her to a local store in her car. She stayed inside the store for about 30 minutes. When she returned, her car was gone. She also said the suspect went to her house and told a person there that he needed to pick up the victim’s medication and bring it to her. The investigation will continue.


Theft — Sunday police responded to a theft at a store in the 3300 block of F.M. 120. A man concealed a can of beer in his clothing and left the store without paying for it. Police arrested the man for theft under $50.


Burglary of Vehicle — Tuesday an unknown suspect burglarized a car in while it was parked in the 1100 block of N. Bush Avenue. The victim said cash was stolen from the car.


Burglary of a Vehicle — An unknown suspect burglarized a truck Tuesday while it was parked in the 1300 block of W. Woodard Street. A laser level and an air compressor were stolen from the bed of the truck.


Sherman Police


Criminal Mischief — Tuesday an officer went to the 300 block of Archer Drive in reference to a possible burglary. The victim said someone broke into his house while he was away from his home for two days. The suspect entered by breaking out the glass in the sliding glass door. As of report time, the victim said he could not find anything that was missing. Police made a report for criminal trespass and criminal mischief.


Criminal Mischief — A man called police Tuesday to report that someone had cut into the coin operated air compressor at his business in the 200 block of S. Sam Rayburn Freeway. The suspects used power saws to enter the machine and remove the coins. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Criminal Mischief — Officers responded Tuesday to the 2100 block of S. First Street regarding a criminal mischief complaint. The windows of two cars and a house had been shot out by a BB gun. One of the cars also had damage to the paint and body. The total estimated cost of the damage is $2,600. The investigation is ongoing.


Theft — A woman called police Tuesday to report a theft. She said she loaned two video games and five DVDs to a friend on Oct. 31, and the friend was supposed to return the property by Nov. 8. Now the suspect will not return the property to the woman as agreed. Police made a report for theft.


Criminal Mischief — A woman called police Tuesday to report criminal mischief. At 3:55 a.m., the woman woke up at her house in the 1000 block of N. Throckmorton Street because she heard shattering glass. She went outside and found that an unknown suspect had used a BB gun to damage the rear windshield, the passenger rear window and the driver’s side rear wing window. The estimated repair cost for the damage was $500. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Criminal Mischief — A woman called police Tuesday to report criminal mischief. Sometime between midnight and 12:30 a.m., an unknown suspect used a BB gun to damage the passenger side windows and rear windshield of the complainant’s car in the 900 block of N. Maxey Street. The estimated repair cost is $500. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Criminal Mischief — Tuesday a man called police to report criminal mischief. Sometime between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday, an unknown suspect used an unknown object to damage the rear sliding glass window of the man’s car while it was parked at the corner of N. Grand Avenue and College Street. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Assault — Two family members assaulted each other Tuesday at their house in the 1300 block of N. Cleveland Avenue. Neither person was injured or experienced pain. Both stated they were offended by the contact. Police made a report for assault by contact family violence.


Criminal Mischief — A woman called police Tuesday to report criminal mischief. Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Monday and 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, an unknown suspect used a BB gun to damage three windows on two cars belonging to the woman. Both cars were parked in the 1500 block of N. Brents Avenue. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Criminal Mischief — Tuesday a woman called police to report criminal mischief that occurred in the 1200 block of Valentine Drive. Sometime between 7 p.m. on Monday and 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday an unknown suspect used a BB gun to damage the driver’s side rear window of the woman’s vehicle. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Robbery — Police responded to a robbery Tuesday in the 300 block of S. F.M. 1417. Two unknown men assaulted another man and took his wallet. The victim received minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
