Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon — The Sherman PD received a 911 call Tuesday regarding a man threatening a woman with a gun in the 3000 block of Northridge Drive. The suspect fled before officers arrived. Officers spoke with the victim who said the suspect pointed a handgun at her head and threatened to shoot her.

Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon — The Sherman PD received a 911 call Tuesday regarding a man threatening a woman with a gun in the 3000 block of Northridge Drive. The suspect fled before officers arrived. Officers spoke with the victim who said the suspect pointed a handgun at her head and threatened to shoot her.


Missing persons — On Tuesday, a detective heard from a friend that their 72-year-old neighbor had not been at his home in the 1100 block of E. Dorchester Street since Saturday, Jan. 18. Along with the extended absence, there were other indications that the man had not gone on a trip and was possibly in danger due to medical and mental issues. The Sherman PD launched an investigation and located the man. He had been hospitalized and the case was closed.


Found property — An officer received a wallet Tuesday that had been found in the 500 block of W. Lamar Street. The wallet contained identifying information and credit cards. The officer could not locate the wallet’s owner, so the wallet was submitted into property at the Sherman PD.


Criminal trespass — A woman called police Tuesday to report a criminal trespass. The woman said that a female suspect that she knew had been seen in a store located in the 400 block of E. Highway 82. The woman said that the suspect had been issued a criminal trespass warning for the store on July 24, 2013. The woman said she saw the suspect in the store on Dec. 11, 2013 and again on Jan. 16. Police made a report for criminal trespass.


Credit card abuse — A man reported Tuesday that an unknown suspect used one of his credit cards to pay bills without his permission. Police made a report for credit card abuse.


Criminal mischief — A woman called police Tuesday to report criminal mischief that occurred at her house in the 1400 block of E. Odneal Street. Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 17 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, an unknown suspect damaged the driver’s side rear window of her car. The estimated repair cost was approximately $350. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Theft — A woman reported to police Tuesday that her cell phone was stolen from a business in the 2200 block of Texoma Parkway. The woman had left the phone on a table when they left the business. When she returned a few minutes later, her phone was gone. Police made a report for theft of property.


Theft of a firearm — Tuesday a woman called police to report that her car and her handgun had been stolen from the 1500 block of N. Lockhart Street. The car was taken by a creditor, and when contacted refused to give the victim the location to retrieve her personal property. Police made a report for theft of a firearm.


Interference with emergency call — Police received a 911 call Tuesday regarding a disturbance in the 3000 block of Northridge Drive. The suspect fled before officers arrived. Officers spoke with the victim who reported the suspect took a cell phone from the her hand while she was attempting to place an emergency call.


Theft — Police were dispatched Tuesday to a store in the 400 block of E. US Highway 82 regarding a theft. Store employees had detained a woman for theft. Police arrested the woman for theft and numerous outstanding warrants.


Disorderly conduct — Wednesday a man called police reporting that a woman was causing a disturbance in the 100 block of S. Elm Street. Police responded to the location and found the woman cursing and causing a disturbance. Police arrested the woman and charged her with disorderly conduct.


Theft — A woman called police Wednesday to report a theft that occurred in the 2100 block of N. Alexander Street. The woman had allowed three men to enter her house Monday. The men were friends of a mutual friend and were interested in buying some items that once belonged to her deceased husband. Once inside the house, the woman left the three men unattended in a bedroom. Once the men left the house, the woman realized some items had been taken from the same room where the three men had been. Police made a report for theft.


Death investigation — Police received a call of a deceased person Wednesday in the 200 block of N. Highland Avenue. Police responded and ruled the death of the 65-year-old man was determined to be unknown natural causes.


Criminal mischief — A man called police Wednesday to report criminal mischief. He said that sometime between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8:15 a.m. Wednesday an unknown suspect shattered the rear windshield of his car while it was parked in the 1400 block of W. Rusk Street. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Debit card abuse — Wednesday a woman came to the Sherman Police Department to report debit card abuse. The woman said the suspect withdrew approximately $400 from her bank account without her consent. This occurred at an ATM in Irving, TX. Police made a report for debit card abuse.


Theft — Police received a call Wednesday reporting a theft at a business in the 400 block of E. US Highway 82. A man had tried to leave the store without paying for several items. Police did a criminal history check of the suspect and found that he had been convicted of theft on three previous occasions. Police arrested the suspect for theft of property.


Assault — A man and woman came to the Sherman Police Department Wednesday to report that they had been assaulted Jan. 17 at a house in the 3000 block of Northridge Drive. Police made a report for assault causing bodily injury, and the investigation is ongoing.


Possession of marijuana — Police were dispatched Wednesday to the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway regarding a theft. Several of the suspects involved were in possession of marijuana and dangerous drugs. Police arrested three people and took them to the Grayson County Jail.
