Public intoxication — On Friday, police were dispatched to the 800 block of South Elm Street in reference to a suspicious person. The caller said a man he did not know was knocking at his front door and loitering on the porch. Police arrested the man for public intoxication and took him to the Grayson County Jail.

Criminal trespass — An officer was dispatched Saturday to the 500 block of North Highland Avenue in reference to a criminal trespass. A man was in the emergency room lobby and did not have a legitimate medical issue. The man had been asked to leave the hospital, and had been escorted out of the hospital by security twice during the preceding evening. The man had a previously-issued criminal trespass warning for that location. Police arrested the man for criminal trespass and took him to jail.


Missing person — On Saturday, an officer went to the 2900 block of North U.S. Highway 75 to speak to a woman about her missing husband. She reported at 8 p.m. that her husband had not been seen or heard from since noon that day. She was worried about him because of the cold weather and his dementia. Officer searched the area and did not locate the man. Police made a missing persons report. Police located the missing man safe later in the evening, said Sgt. D.M. Hampton.


Assault — On Monday, an officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of Crescent Drive in reference to an assault. The victim said he was assaulted by his intoxicated daughter causing him pain and to defecate on himself. The victim had visible injury to his face. The officer made a report for assault causes bodily injury family member.
