Public intoxication — Friday an officer went to a possible burglary in progress at a business in the 3700 block of Texoma Parkway. The officer found a man standing outside, and learned that he had broken several windows on the front of the business. The man admitted to consuming a combination of alcohol and prescription medication. The officer arrested the man for criminal mischief and public intoxication.

Burglary — An officer spoke with a woman Friday in the 1400 block of LaSalle Drive about a burglary. The woman said someone broke into her house while she was away and stole jewelry. The officer made a report for burglary of a habitation.


Terroristic threat — An officer went Friday to the 300 block of N. Highland Avenue regarding a person causing a disturbance. Someone at the scene told the officer that a person arrived at the location to have a medical procedure done, became irrational, began causing a disturbance and threatened the staff. The officer made a report for terroristic threat.


Possession of marijuana — An officer went Friday to the 3600 block of S. U.S. Highway 75 and spoke with a man that was in possession of marijuana. The officer recovered the marijuana and made a report.


Assault — An officer responded Friday to the 1800 block of Loy Lake Road regarding an assault. A woman said that her child’s father pushed her at a business in the 400 block of E. Highway 82. The officer made a report for assault.


Fraud — A man went to the Sherman Police Department Friday to report a fraud that occurred in the 2000 block of Texoma Parkway. The man said that someone stole his checkbook and passed checks fraudulently. Police made a report for fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.


Fraud — Officers went Friday to the 1600 block of LaSalle Drive regarding a fraud. A man reported that his Lone Star card was used without his permission. The officers made a report for fraud.


Driving while license invalid — An officer conducted a traffic stop Friday in the 3200 block of Texoma Parkway. The driver had a suspended license, and previous convictions of driving while license invalid. The officer arrested the driver and took him to the Grayson County Jail.


Assault — An officer responded to an assault Friday in the 4900 block of Highgrove Drive. A man who has a disability said that an unknown suspect tried to enter his apartment. When the man confronted the suspect in the doorway, the suspect displayed a knife and cut him. The man suffered an injury to his hand. The suspect fled the apartment. The officer made an offense report, and the investigation is ongoing.


Possession of a controlled substance — An officer went Friday to the 100 block of Sunset Boulevard regarding a suspicious woman who asked the caller to buy narcotics. The officer found the woman, and saw that she was intoxicated. The officer arrested her for public intoxication. The officer searched the woman’s purse and found numerous pills and drug paraphernalia. The woman was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug.


Criminal mischief — Saturday officers responded to the 2300 block of Texoma Parkway regarding a car being vandalized. Police conducted an investigation and discovered that the car had been keyed and feces had been placed on the door handles. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Assault — Police went Saturday to the 1100 block of S. Montgomery Street regarding an assault. The victim said she had been assaulted by family members. Police made a report for assault causing bodily injury family violence.


Reckless damage — An officer spoke with a woman Saturday in the 3300 block of N. Heritage Parkway. The woman said her car was hit while parked in a parking lot, leaving a scuff mark on the car. The owner of the suspect car said he did not believe he hit anything. The officer made a report for reckless damage.


Theft — Officers responded to a theft Saturday at a business in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. A man stole a suit jacked valued at $695 and fled the scene. Officers made a report for theft.


Burglary — Officers responded to a burglary Saturday at a house in the 10000 block of N. Lockhart Street. The victim said that the suspects stole jewelry and precious metals valued at $2,125. No sign of forced entry was found. Officers made a report for burglary of a habitation.


Fail to signal lane change — An officer observed a car fail to signal lane change Saturday in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway. The officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for fail to signal lane change.


Tampering with physical evidence — An officer conducted a traffic stop Saturday in the 2500 block of W. Center Street. During the stop, the officer learned the passenger attempted to conceal narcotics. The officer arrested the passenger for tampering with physical evidence and possession of controlled substance.


Public intoxication — Sunday an officer responded to an assault in the 1400 block of E. Pecan Street. The 74-year-old victim reported that her grandson entered her house intoxicated and began verbally abusing her. He would not leave, so she went to her neighbor’s house. The officer spoke to the suspect and determined that he was intoxicated. The officer then arrested the suspect for public intoxication.


Assault — Police were dispatched Sunday to the 1100 block of S. Walnut Street regarding a disturbance. A woman had been assaulted by her husband, resulting in pain and visible minor injuries. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Police made a report for assault, and the investigation is ongoing.


Possession of a controlled substance — Sunday an officer was patrolling the 2900 block of N. U.S. Highway 75, and saw two suspicious women at a business in the area. The officer found one of the women to be in possession of a controlled substance. The woman also had an outstanding warrant and had lied about her identity. The officer arrested the woman and took her to the Grayson County Jail.


Criminal mischief — Police received a call Sunday from a man in the 400 block of S. Sam Rayburn Freeway reporting that a guest had damaged a television bracket. Police made a report for criminal mischief.


Assault —An officer responded to an assault Sunday in the 1200 block of S. Branch Street. The victim said that an ex-friend arrived at his house, called him outside and then assaulted him. The officer made a report for assault by contact.


Assault — Officers responded to a disturbance Sunday in the 1200 block of E. Houston Street. Upon their arrival, they learned an assault had occurred and the suspect had left prior to their arrival. The officers made a report for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
