Terroristic threat — An officer went Friday to a construction site in the 500 block of Progress Drive regarding a bomb threat. Staff searched the construction site and no bomb was located. The officer made a report for terroristic threat.

Theft — On Wednesday, an officer responded to a theft at a house in the 1900 block of Southridge Lane. The victims said the suspect had been allowed to live in the residence. The suspect took property from the house that belonged to victims. The officer made a report for theft of property.


Assault — Police responded Thursday to a house in the 1600 block of E. FM 1417 regarding a woman being assaulted. The woman’s daughter-in-law wanted her to leave the house. The daughter-in-law grabbed her and pulled her out of the house, causing the woman to fall and hit her arm and head. Police arrested the daughter-in-law for assault causing bodily injury to family member and took her to the Grayson County Jail.


Unauthorized use of vehicle — Police were called to a business Thursday in the 4100 block of Texoma Parkway regarding unauthorized use of a vehicle. The victim said that the business rented a car to a suspect who provided a fraudulent license and credit card. The suspect also failed to return the car within the time limits of the rental agreement. Police made a report for unauthorized use of vehicle and fraudulent use of identifying information.


Criminal mischief — An officer went Thursday to a business in the 400 block of N. Walnut Street. An unknown suspect had pried open the door of the business. The officer made a report for criminal mischief.


Theft — An officer went Thursday to a store in the 400 block of E. Highway 82 regarding a theft. A man had taken several items from the store without paying for them. Store employees detained the man, and the officer arrested him for theft.


Driving while license invalid — On Thursday, an officer was on a routine patrol in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway and saw a car traveling northbound without headlights on. The officer made a traffic stop and discovered the driver had a suspended driver’s license and expired insurance. The officer arrested the driver and made an offense report.


Debit card abuse — An officer was dispatched Thursday to a house in the 1900 block of Southridge Lane regarding a theft. A suspect had stolen and passed a check with a forged signature on a closed account


Burglary — On Friday, an officer was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Alta Vista Street regarding a burglary. The victim said he found his back door open when he returned home from work, and several electronic items were missing from the house. He named a possible suspect. The officer made a report for burglary of a habitation.


Assault — Police were dispatched Friday to a house in the 1600 block of E. FM 1417 regarding a disturbance. A woman struck her ex-boyfriend during an argument, causing minor injuries. Police arrested the woman for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.


Possession of marijuana — An officer responded to a theft Friday at a store in the 400 block of E. US Highway 82. Employees detained a woman after they saw her concealing items in her purse and then attempting to leave the store without paying. The woman had two previous convictions for theft and was also in possession of marijuana. The officer arrested the woman for theft and marijuana possession.

Fraud — An officer was dispatched Friday to an incident of prescription fraud in the 500 block of N. Highland Avenue. A physician at the location said he had seen a man that attempted to obtain a prescription medication by fraud. The suspect left prior to officer arrival. The officer made a report for prescription fraud. The case is under investigation.


Public intoxication — On Saturday, police were dispatched to the 3700 block of W. Houston Street regarding a suspicious person. A woman said that a man she did not know was yelling on her front porch. Officers arrived and found a man hiding nearby and arrested him for public intoxication.
