The FBI gathered information Thursday morning at the Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health location in Sherman for as of yet unknown reasons.

Around 8 a.m. FBI agents and Texas Medicaid personnel conducted "law enforcement activity" at Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health, said Dallas FBI spokeswoman Katherine Chaumont. The activity Thursday morning was a result of an ongoing investigation, Chaumont said.

Individuals wearing Attorney General vests were at the location, but the Attorney General’s office said they could not comment on whether they are involved in the investigation.

As of 4:30 p.m. Thursday, the FBI is not releasing any more information on the case, Chaumont said.

In a statement on its Facebook page, posted Thursday evening, Angels of Care said: "We appreciate everyone’s concern, and Angels of Care wants to let you all know that we are NOT going anywhere! We are resuming normal business tomorrow, providing top quality care for all of our families and their special children.

"We feel this story has been blown out of proportion by the media and gossip. Companies who participate in the health care industry are audited and investigated from time to time. We have had audits and investigations in the past which we have been cleared from. As one of the largest pediatric home health agencies in Texas we get frequent audits. Please call 903-271-2847 if you have any questions. We care for each of our families and we look forward to continuing to give our very best for you."
