Law enforcement responded to a two-car wreck Monday at a convenience store in Sherman. The crash sent one driver to the hospital.

Around 11:30 a.m., a black Ford Edge was driving on Lamar Street in the right lane when it attempted to turn left into the parking lot of a convenience store, said Sherman Police Department Cpl. Kevin Garbacik. At that time, a maroon Dodge Magnum was behind the Ford Edge in the left lane driving straight. As a result, the Dodge Magnum drove into the side of the Ford Edge, said Garbacik.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to remove the driver of the Ford Edge from her car. Neither of the drivers sustained any serious injuries. The driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital after complaining of a headache, but police believe her injuries to be minor, Garbacik said. The driver of the Dodge is pregnant, but declined to be taken to the hospital.

The accident was captured by gas station surveillance cameras and police plan to review the footage, Garbacik said.
