Sherman Police said Wednesday that they believe an aggravated robbery incident that occurred Tuesday was targeted and not random. The incident involved three suspects breaking into a house and holding a woman and her child at gunpoint.

According to police reports, officers responded to a burglary Tuesday in the 900 block of S. FM 1417. The victim told police that three unknown men forced their way into her house and held her and her child at gunpoint. The suspects stole several items from the home, the report says. The victim and her child were not harmed.

Police have determined that the woman was targeted in the incident and that it was not random, said SPD Sgt. D.M. Hampton. Because the investigation is ongoing, Hampton said he could not disclose any more information about the suspects or about the items that were stolen.
