Sherman and Denison Police Officers arrested a man Wednesday for possibly distributing cocaine and other drugs from his house.

Wednesday, Sherman Police Narcotics with the assistance of Denison Police Narcotics served a search warrant at a house in the 600 block of N. Harrison Street, said Sherman PD Sgt. D.M. Hampton in a written release. During the search, investigators found 35 grams of crack cocaine, 8 grams of powder cocaine, prescription medication and digital scales.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old man for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams. The charge was upgraded because the house is located within 1,000 feet of Austin College, which is a drug-free zone.

Officers estimate the street value of the narcotics is more than $4,000.
