The Pottsboro Kids Club, a 501 (c) 3 organization, provides safe, low-cost after school care to children in kindergarten through age 12 who attend Pottsboro schools and who might, without the club, be home alone after school. The club is especially concerned to reach families whose children qualify for free or reduced-price school meal.

The Pottsboro Kids Club, a 501 (c) 3 organization, provides safe, low-cost after school care to children in kindergarten through age 12 who attend Pottsboro schools and who might, without the club, be home alone after school. The club is especially concerned to reach families whose children qualify for free or reduced-price school meal.


The club picks up club members in each building at the school. The club members get a snack everyday and receive adult and teen help with homework. The club also offers a variety of indoor and out door games and activities. The club schedules extended care hours for early-release days and full-day program during school breaks including summer vacation.


The clubs wish list includes:


monetary donations


volunteers


copy paper, both colored and white


Clorox clean ups (for flu season)


paper towels


board games (an urgent need) for children ages 8 and up


The club also needs snack items including cinnamon graham crackers, cheese snack crackers, cereal bars, vanilla wafers, granola bars, fruit flavored snacks, Pop-tarts, strawberry applesauce or plain applesauce, pudding cups, jello cups and Chex mix.
