Denison Police arrested a man Wednesday for cultivating over 140 marijuana plants in his home.


Wednesday, officers from the Denison PD narcotics and patrol divisions executed a search warrant at a house in the 600 block of W. Gandy Street, the Denison PD said in a written statement. Police had been investigating the location because of allegations of illegal drug activity at the house.


Officers searched the house and found 140 hydroponic marijuana plants and growing equipment. The street value of the marijuana is $50,000, Denison PD Lt. Mike Eppler said.


Police arrested Roger Dean Reynolds, 53, of Denison for possession of marijuana over five pounds in a drug-free zone. Bail on the charge was set at $10,000.
