Grayson County commissioners moved quickly Tuesday through a routine agenda that saw them approve selling some struck off property and the final plat of Balzen Acres.

Jerry White, county planning director, said the owner of the property on Emerald Road wants to sell one lot of the five acres of land and have the rest available for future development. White said the owner has met subdivision requirements.

Commissioners also approved a request from Pink Hill Water Supply to place a water line in the ditch along the west side of Crews Road in Precinct2.

Commissioners approved Chad Mitchell’s request to purchase lot 11 and lot 15 of Country Ridge Estates. They also approved Larry and Janice Judd’s request to purchase Lot 2808 at Sherwood Shores unit 2. The bid was below the struck off price but not by much. The struck off price was $502.49 and the Judds offered $500. The last bit of real estate the Court discussed concerned lots 460 and 461 on Brookvalley Drive at Sherwood Shores. Grayson County Tax Assessor Collector Bruce Stidham told commissioners the property’s struck off price is $2,794 and the price being offered by Weldon Davis was $755. Commissioner Bart Lawrence said he spoke with Davis and he planned to clean the property up and get it back on the tax rolls. Commissioners approved the sale of the property.
