The roof of the bowling alley in Sherman collapsed Friday afternoon. No one was injured in the incident, but police have blocked off the area around the building. Authorities said the weight of the ice accumulated on roofs can be more than a structure can handle in some cases. They cautioned that if residents see any signs of structural failure — sagging roofs or creaking, cracking or popping sounds — they should immediately evacuate the building and not return until the building is inspected by a trained engineer.
