BONHAM — The Bonham Chamber of Commerce has relocated to 327 N. Main St. in order to be under the same roof as the Bonham Visitor’s Center.

The previous location of the Chamber was across the square at 119 E. 5th St., said Executive Director Dale McQueen.

The Chamber and Visitors Center’s goal is to make the new location a "one-stop shop for anyone interested in Bonham and the surrounding area," the chamber said in a written release Thursday.

Because the Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center have similar purposes, McQueen said it makes sense for them to be housed in the same building.

"Most cities have their Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center in the same location," McQueen said.

The chamber leased the previous location from a private company. The Bonham Economic Development Corp. owns the building of the new location and will serve as landlord, said BEDCO Executive Director Steve Filipowicz.

Expenses for the move came from the Chamber’s budget.

The phone number and email addresses for the Chamber of Commerce have remained the same: 903-583-4811 and bonhamchamber@cableone.net.
