The Denison Development Alliance approved a land transaction Thursday with a company that plans to bring 18 new jobs to the area. The Board approved the sale of land at the Foundation Business Park in Denison.

The DDA agreed to sell three acres of land at the industrial complex to Tradesman Properties LLC for $35,000. Tradesman, which deals in uniform maintenance, service and laundry, plans on building a 1,550-square-foot service center on the property, at a cost of about $1 million, said DDA President Tony Kaai.

The facility will create 18 jobs, with an annual payroll of $600,040, said Kaai.

Before the land is sold, the DDA will need to modify the plat for the land, which was originally platted as five acres. With final negotiations and agreements, Kaai expects to close on the sale within the next three weeks.
