A Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and public event was held at Landmark Bank of Sherman on Friday. The gathering celebrated the introduction of a new piece of technology that the bank calls the Video Teller.

The ATM-like device features a 2-way audio and video connection, allowing users to speak with an offsite bank teller. This technology will be available outside of the bank’s business hours, which Landmark hopes will help customers who have more complicated requests than can be handled at a traditional ATM.

"The video teller will help streamline transactions, … but keeps live communication intact," Landmark Bank Texas State President Randy Hensarling said in a press release. He noted that Landmark is the first bank in Grayson County to offer this service.
