Denison Police


Theft of vehicle — A female victim stated on July 23 that an unknown suspect(s) stole a Ford Escort, tan in color with Texas license plate HHG-7437, from her driveway in the 100 block of West Murray.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on July 20 to the call of a male bleeding in the 4900 block of Texoma Parkway. A male subject was arrested for public intoxication.


Assault — Officers responded on July 20 to the call of an assault in the 3600 block of FM 120 West. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched on July 21 to a motor vehicle accident in the 1500 block of South Mirick. A female suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Criminal mischief — A female victim reported on July 21 that someone broke out a living room window in her residence in the 400 block of East Morton. Officers will be following up on leads.


Assault — A female victim stated on July 21 that she and her live-in boyfriend got into an argument and he assaulted her and took her cellphone while she tried to get emergency assistance. The male suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence and interference with an emergency call.


Burglary of a vehicle — A male victim reported on July 22 that someone entered his unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75 and took out the stereo. Officers are following up on leads.


Deadly conduct/criminal mischief — A victim stated on July 22 that someone shot a BB gun toward a residence and shot a window of the residence. Several BBs were also shot into a vehicle. Officers are following up on leads.


Theft — Store personnel stated on July 22 that a male entered the store, put merchandise into a shopping cart and left the store without paying. The suspect fled the scene on foot and has been identified. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Criminal mischief — Officers responded on July 23 to a disturbance in the 2100 block of West Bond. The complainant stated that two tires were damaged due to having been punctured. A suspect was named and the investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on July 24 to the report of a female walking in the roadway in the 1700 block of Loy Lake Road. The female subject was arrested for public intoxication and an outstanding Grayson County warrant.


Assault by contact — A male victim stated on July 24 that he was assaulted in the 1400 block of South Armstrong by a man he knows over a vehicle. The case has been referred to Municipal Court.


Assault by contact — Officers responded on July 24 to a disturbance in the 600 block of West Brock. A male suspect was arrested for assault by contact.


Theft — Officers responded on July 25 to a report of theft in the 1000 block of West Thatcher. The male victim stated that he is missing three weed eaters and two gas cans from his property. No suspects have be named.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on July 25 to the call of a suspicious person in the 600 block of West Owings. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Theft — Officers were dispatched on July 25 to the 200 block of West Heron in reference to a burglary. The male complainant stated that he is missing a lawn mower and bicycle from his shed area. Officers will be following up on leads.


Theft — A male victim stated on July 26 that someone stole his 16 foot metal trailer he had been working on outside his residence in the 1200 block of South Derby. Officers will be following up on leads.


Assault — Officers responded on July 26 to a disturbance in the 4900 block of Texoma Parkway. A male suspect was arrested for assault by contact.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on July 26 to a disturbance in the 500 block of East Sears. A suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Theft — A male victim stated on July 26 that an unknown suspect(s) stole miscellaneous hand tools from the bed of his pickup truck.


Sherman Police


Driving while intoxicated — A traffic stop was conducted on July 16 in the 1900 block of Texoma Parkway. The male driver of the vehicle was suspected of being intoxicated. Upon investigation, the driver was determined to be intoxicated, and he was arrested for driving while intoxicated 2nd.


Possession — Officers made a traffic stop on July 17 for no tag light in the 2500 block of Texoma Parkway. An investigation was conducted, and the male driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.


Aggravated robbery — Officers were dispatched on July 17 to the 900 block of East Wells Avenue in response to a disturbance. Upon arrival, they learned that a group of suspects entered the victim’s residence, assaulted the victim and stole property. A report for aggravated robbery was filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
