Denison Police


Criminal mischief — A female victim reported on June 15 that someone “egged” her vehicle in the 1100 block of Ridgewood Road and also put some type of liquid on a door so it couldn’t be opened. There were also dents in the vehicle. Officers are following up on leads.


Assault — A female victim reported on June 13 that her ex-boyfriend forced his way into her home in the 700 block of South Barrett and they argued over custody of their child. She stated that the suspect assaulted her by pushing her, head butting her and shoving her into a wall. The suspect also made threats to harm her and her family. The suspect then left the scene. A case was forwarded to the district attorney’s office, and the investigation will continue.


Burglary of a vehicle — A female victim stated on June 13 that an unknown suspect(s) entered her vehicle in the 100 block of Sharon Circle and took several CDs and damaged the dashboard in her vehicle while trying to remove the CD player.


Criminal mischief — A business in the 1300 and 1400 blocks of West Morton had spray paint on its buildings, and a business in the 1500 block of West Morton had a window broken. Three juvenile suspects have been identified. The investigation will continue.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on June 15 to the call of a male causing a disturbance in the 1500 block of South Austin. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Theft of a firearm — A male victim stated on June 15 that someone took his pistol from his bedroom in the 100 block of East Munson. Officers are following up on leads.


Sherman Police


Assault — Officers responded on June 15 to the report of an assault in the 3100 block of South Carolina Drive. Upon investigation, it was learned that an assault took place and the suspect brandished a firearm. The firearm was never discharged or pointed at a person. A report for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence was generated.


Burglary of a habitation — It was reported on June 15 that an unknown suspect stole property from the garage of a home in the 1700 block of Northbrook Lane. The property was valued at more than $400. A report for theft of property from $100-$750 was generated.


Possession — An officer conducted a traffic stop on June 15 in the 3600 block of Texoma Parkway. The driver gave consent for the vehicle to be searched. Marijuana and a controlled substance were found during the search. A report was filed for possession of marijuana less than two ounces, and possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, from one to four grams.


Found property — A female citizen reported on June 15 that she found an ankle monitor in her driveway in the 900 block of North Ross Avenue. A report was made for found property.


Possession — An officer was dispatched on June 15 to a convenience store in the 3600 block of South U.S. Highway 75 in reference to a suspicious male, possibly on drugs. The male was located inside his vehicle and was arrested for a warrant. In the investigation that followed, less than one gram of methamphetamine was found in the suspect’s possession. The suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram.


Criminal mischief — Dispatch received a call on June 15 reporting an assault between a brother and a sister in the 2500 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The female stated that her brother slapped her and then caused damage to her vehicle. A report was generated for assault by contact family member and criminal mischief from $750-$2,500 was generated.


Assault — A citizen entered police headquarters on June 15 to report an assault that occurred in the 1100 block of West Hunt Street. A report was taken for assault causes bodily injury family member.


Public intoxication — Dispatch received a call on June 15 to report a female walking on the side of the road in the 2500 block of North U.S. Highway 75. It was reported that the suspect was running in front of cars causing them to slow down and stop. Reports for public intoxication, obstruction of highway and criminal mischief were generated.


Criminal mischief — A female victim stated on June 15 that someone punctured all four tires on her vehicle in the 1100 block of West Crawford. She named a possible suspect and the investigation will continue.


Criminal mischief — An officer responded on June 15 to a complainant in the 700 block of East Morton. It was that someone shot out a window of their vehicle with a BB gun. No suspects were identified.


Theft of property — Dispatch received a call on June 16 in reference to a theft in the 400 block of East U.S. Highway 82. The caller advised that her purse was stolen. An officer arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. It was learned that a suspect had taken the purse from a shopping cart. A report for theft of property from $100-$750 was generated.
