Sherman Police


Criminal trespass — Officers were dispatched on June 8 to a business in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to a female calling with nonsensical rambling information. The female had been criminally trespassed from the business. While investigating her complaint, the female began walking away and was placed under arrest for criminal trespass. The suspect was additionally charged with evading arrest detention and resisting arrest transport.


Theft property — An officer responded on June 7 to a female complainant in the 2200 block of South First Street. She stated that her four wheeler was stolen from her yard the day before. A report for theft of property $750-$2,500 was generated.


Theft property — The public safety administrator made contact on June 6 with a male reporting party in reference to a theft in the 100 block of Sunset Boulevard. The male stated that between November 2017 and May 2018, property was taken from the business. A report for theft was generated.


Assault — Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Bryant Avenue in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival and investigation, the victim claimed an assault occurred. No injuries were reported. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.


Found property — An officer was dispatched on June 11 to the 100 block of North Willow Street in reference to found property. Upon investigation, a backpack was discovered which contained heavily damaged electronics. The serial numbers on the electronics had been reported as stolen or lost. A report was generated for found property.


Theft — The public safety administrator made contact on June 11 with a male reporting party. The male reported that a suspect(s) stole property from his residence in the 2300 block of San Miguel Street.


Criminal mischief — The public safety administrator made contact on June 11 with a female reporting party in the 2000 block of Texoma Parkway. The female stated that an unknown suspect(s) damaged her vehicle. A report for criminal mischief was filed.


Graffiti pecuniary — The public safety administrator made contact on June 11 with a male reporting party in reference to criminal mischief. The male stated that his company vehicle in the 1100 block of East Gallagher was damaged with spray paint. A report for graffiti was generated.


Burglary of a building — Officers responded on June 12 to the 1400 block of South Travis Street in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, they learned that multiple lawn equipment items and other tools were taken from a building. A report was generated.


Public intoxication — Officer were dispatched on June 12 to the 2400 block of Heritage Parkway in response to a report of a male lying in the roadway. The male suspect was located and arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Grayson County Jail.
