Denison Police


Stolen/damaged vehicle — A complainant stated on May 15 that someone took a vehicle from a local auto dealership and caused considerable damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was then returned to the dealership. Officers are following up on leads.


Burglary of a building — A complainant stated on May 15 that an unknown suspect(s) broke into a locked storage building by cutting the lock and took some lawn equipment and an air compressor.


Disturbance — Officers responded on May 15 to the call of a disturbance in the 900 block of West Sears. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Criminal mischief — A female victim stated on May 16 that someone slashed two of her tires in the 600 block of South Mirick while at a local nightclub. Officers will be following up on leads.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped on May 16 for a traffic violation at the intersection of Rusk and Heron. A male suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces and an outstanding city of Denison warrant.


Burglary of a vehicle — A female victim stated on May 16 that an unknown suspect(s) broke a window out in her vehicle in the 1800 block of State Highway 91 and stole some cash. Officers are following up on leads.


Criminal mischief — A female victim stated on May 16 that someone broke a window out in her residence. Officers are following up on leads.


Disturbance — Officers responded on May 16 to a disturbance call in the 3400 block of FM 120 West. A male suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Burglary of a vehicle — A complainant stated on May 17 that an unknown suspect(s) entered three vehicles at a local auto dealership and removed the touch screen radio systems.


Suspicious person — An officer observed a female on May 17 acting strangely in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 75 North. The officer spoke with the suspect. The suspect was then arrested for an outstanding state of Texas parole warrant and failure to identify/fugitive from justice.


Public intoxication — Officers responded on May 18 to the call of an intoxicated person in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 South. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Criminal trespass — Officers responded on May 18 to the call of a female walking in traffic. The suspect was located at the senior citizen’s center. She had previously been issued a criminal trespass warning for this property and was arrested for criminal trespass.


Theft — A complainant stated on May 18 that an unknown suspect(s) stole several catalytic converters off of vehicles in the 2200 block of Woodlake Road.


Burglary of a building — A male victim stated on May 19 that someone stole a floor jack and several carpentry tools from inside his building in the 500 block of East Morton.


Theft — A female victim stated on May 20 that an unknown suspect(s) took her push lawnmower from her yard in the 800 block of West Montgomery.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded on May 20 to the report of an intoxicated driver on Circle Drive. The female suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated second.


Sherman Police


Right of way safety violation — Officers were dispatched on May 9 to the 3100 block of U.S. Highway 75 North in reference to a solicitor. The female suspect was located standing in the grassy median at the intersection of the Highway 75 and Highway 82 control roads, holding a sigh soliciting money. The suspect was arrested for right of way safety violations and two city of Sherman warrants.


Reckless damage — Officers responded on May 9 to the report of a minor accident in the 2600 block of Juniper Drive. Upon arrival they discovered that an individual had left a vehicle in neutral which rolled down the driveway striking an Oncor pole and electrical box. A report for reckless damage was generated.


Public intoxication — An officer was dispatched on May 9 to the 3600 block of Steeple Chase Drive in reference to a possible intoxicated person. Upon officer arrival, the male suspect was found lying on the ground without a shirt or shoes. The suspect emitted a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, and he admitted to drinking heavily throughout the day. He had an injury to his left knee, and he was unsteady on his feet. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.


Driving with license invalid — An officer conducted a traffic stop on May 9 at the intersection of West Houston Street and Arapaho West due to the driver’s speed. During the traffic stop, the officer discovered the driver’s license was suspended and that there had been a previous conviction for driving while license suspended. A report was filed for driving while license suspended with previous conviction.


Possession — An officer located a vehicle on May 10 that was in a city park in the 3200 block of Canyon Creek Drive after hours. The male driver was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
